do you think the playing time is really shorter. in condi-chess you just have 10 minutes per player?

In Antigua, the only place I know master players use a clock, they have a maximum of 15 seconds per move. In a game of 60 moves, this gives them a real maximum limit fom 15 minuts per player. This is normal game, not fast game. 10 minuts per player in chess is blitz. So I find it is really different applying this rule to chess than to oware. --WikiSysop 21:28, 13 August 2006 (CEST)

The fact is simply that in traditional societies mancala is often played just as a Blitz game, although it could well be played taking several hours per player as e.g. in Togus kumalak tournaments.
