Oware nomenclature)
There's no standard notation to transcribe oware games. There's not even a standard way to name the holes: some use letters, some numbers; some use the same letters on both sides, some use lower and upper case; some use same numbers or letter on both sides, some use number from 1 to 12 or letters from A to L; some name from left to right, some from right to left.
In the oware games transcribed in this web a notation based in that of toghyzqumalaq is used.
Pits are numbered from 1 to 6 in both sides, from left to right:
Moves are transcribed with two numbers, from 1 to 6, meaning starting and ending hole, so 64 means a player has started a move in his hole number 6 and ended in any hole number 4, both on his or the other side:
If a capture is done, the total of captured seeds during the game by the player is written next to the move, between brackets. So, 53 (20) means the player has moved from his 5th pit to the opponent's 3rd pit, made a capture, and has a total of 20 captured seeds:
Moves are numbered, so first two moves by both players can be:
- 64 64
- 21 32
