Several two-dimensional mancala-like board games employ sowing. Nonetheless, these two-dimenional sowing games differ so much from those games which are usually called mancala games that they are categorized as mancala-like games in this Wiki. Two-dimensional sowing games are, for example, Devil Bunny hates the Earth, volcano, gretrix and tower of power. Although most two-dimensional sowing games are modern inventions, two of them are traditional children's games from Yunnan (China) called zigulzoqge and dongjintian. Two-dimensional sowing games have no cycles.
A game has a two-dimensional (planar) topology when counters can be moved from at least two nodes in no less than three directions (i.e. three other nodes) and all lines start and end in nodes and no two lines cross.
